On 15 October 2015, Ms Hodges walked across land maintained by the Townsville City Council when her left foot entered a hole causing her to fall. Ms Hodges suffered serious injuries including a spiral fracture of her left mid-shaft tibia, distal fibula and medial malleolus.
De Roma was injured when she tripped and fell whilst walking over a steel utility pit lid and frame set in a concrete footpath. The surface had a small height differential of about 1 cm. Ausgrid was responsible for the inspection, maintenance and safety of the utility pit.
The claimant, Mr Jones, was injured at work as a roof plumber in mid-2011. He had worked as a roof plumber and, apart from his School Certificate, he held a number of industry specific qualifications in roof plumbing.
Ms Trinet Wilson (‘Plaintiff’) was a registered nurse and was employed at the Robina Hospital by the defendant, Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (‘Defendant’).
In 2017, the Plaintiff suffered a left shoulder injury when working as a Patient Support Assistant for the Sunshine Coast Hospital.
