Varuni joined Kingsley Lawson Lawyers in January 2020. Varuni is a determined lawyer with a passion for achieving just and fair outcomes for her clients. From a young age Varuni has been intrigued by the legal system and the way it is designed to be fair and equitable regardless of the individual. Varuni completed her Undergraduate Degrees in Law and Psychology in 2017 at the Western Sydney University. With over 6 years’ of experience in personal injury law, having worked as a paralegal prior to her admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2018, Varuni is no stranger to its intricacies. She has experience in child institutional abuse claims, motor accidents, workplace law and public liability.

Starting off as a legal secretary, working her way up to a paralegal and now a solicitor, Varuni has hands-on experience in all aspects of a claim. She has a deep appreciation and understanding of the process and the work involved. As a result, she strives to always perform at a high standard and deliver the best results for the client. Varuni prides herself in being able to form a trusting relationship with her clients.

Varuni’s ability to empathise with her clients and her understanding of the impact the injuries have on their lives, continues to motivate her to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Varuni feels fortunate for the opportunities to autonomously manage claims at such an early stage in her career. These milestones have helped her understand the nuances in managing a claim. Varuni has successfully resolved matters at mediations and CARS Assessment Conferences. Her experience and ongoing involvement in child institutional abuse claims has reignited her passion to further her learning and delve deeper into this area. Varuni also hopes to apply her degree in psychology to further her proficiency in this area. Varuni hopes to undertake postgraduate studies in Law in the future.

Varuni enjoys baking, reading and volunteers with her local community Tamil School where possible.

Varuni is fluent in both written and spoken English and Tamil.
