Amanda Shukur is a lawyer at Kingsley Lawson and is part of our Personal Injury team.  Amanda is originally from the United States but migrated to Australia in 2013. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Philosophy from Arizona State University.

Amanda always knew she wanted a career in the legal industry and that she wanted to help people.  When Amanda first came to Australia, she started out as a paralegal working for one of Australia’s largest personal injury firms.  Shortly after, Amanda commenced her law degree studying on a full-time basis.  She also continued working full-time, working her way up from paralegal, to law clerk, to lawyer.  Along the way, Amanda has worked for ASX listed firms and small general practice firms. She has gained valuable experience in several different practice areas including personal injury, criminal law, property law, contract law, commercial law, family law, wills & estates, and general dispute resolution.

Amanda’s passion lies in the practice area of personal injury with a particular interest in workplace injuries. Amanda is a firm believer that everyone is entitled to a safe place to work and she is determined to get the best outcome for her clients.

Outside of work Amanda enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also loves the beach and taking her dogs for a walk.

Amanda is a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Women Lawyers Association Queensland.
